Provecta Energy Solutions partnered with South Australian based engineering company, AZZO, to deliver a complete Demand Management and Energy Monitoring/Reporting System.
Located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, the Westfield Sydney site managed by the Demand Management System includes three commercial towers, the shopping centre including more than 300 retailers and the iconic Sydney Tower.
Provecta’s role in the project was to design, configure and commission a high level control system and user interface communicating with the Building Management Systems, generators and electrical distribution infrastructure.
The Demand Management System curtails electrical demand by sending high level requests to BMSs controlling HVAC and mechanical plant in order to flatten demand profiles on individual Supply Authority billing points. The system uses analogue controls taking into account internal floor temperatures and instantaneous power consumption.
